Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident

Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
