The young golfer can count on multiple prominent supporters as she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates numerous golf courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He basically suggested to play and enjoy myself," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in just three tournaments this year and holds the 461st position in AJGA listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He advised me to compete, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that her participation helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.
